Spirited Quality was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right front latissimus dorsi muscle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Pat's There was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abraded paw pad/webbing to its right front foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Emperor Cruz was slow to begin.  Emperor Cruz and Mystic Quality collided soon after the start.  Thunder Of Sky, Neo Ha Ha and Black Paws collided on the first turn.  Thunder Of Sky checked off Black Paws entering the back straight checking Neo Ha Ha, Mystic Quality and Emperor Cruz.  Neo Ha Ha checked off Emperor Cruz approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Empire Entourage and Destructo Rat were quick to begin.  Back Slapper, Dewana Express and Tub's Tiger collided soon after the start checking Back Slapper, Dewana Express and Zipping Scarlet.  Back Slapper checked off There's Steamy entering the front straight.  There's Steamy checked off Cheerful Scout on the second turn and collided with Back Slapper.  Zipping Scarlet clipped the heels of There's Steamy approaching the home turn severely checking Zipping Scarlet which stumbled and lost ground as a result.

Zipping Scarlet was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Zipping Scarlet became dislodged following interference approaching the home turn.

Rapanui Rebel and Barroom Promise were slow to begin.  Dr. Watson was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Rapanui Rebel and Barroom Promise collided soon after the start.  Taabinga Express and Walk Woody Walk collided approaching the first turn.  Walk Woody Walk checked off Taabinga Express approaching the first turn.  Taabinga Express and Rapanui Rebel collided on the first turn.  Taabinga Express raced wide approaching the second turn and eased causing Barroom Express to race wide.  Rapanui Rebel and Dr. Watson collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Taabinga Express eased on the second turn.  Rapanui Rebel and Dr. Watson collided on the third turn checking Rapanui Rebel.  Share and Lakeview Isla collided on the home turn.

Taabinga Express was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Connor, the trainer of the greyhound Taabinga Express regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn and on the second turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), Stewards charged Taabinga Express with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Connor pleaded guilty to the charge.  Taabinga Express was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Rapanui Rebel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to its left front foot.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Surfonic Gold crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Dr. Eleonora, Dr. Walter and Rack Tap Rack.  Rack Tap Rack checked off Dr. Walter approaching the first turn.  Dr. Eleonora and Rack Tap Rack collided on the first turn.  Become The Fuse and Dr. Walter collided on the first turn.  Dr. Eleonora checked off Dr. Walter approaching the third turn.  Surfonic Gold eased approaching the winning post and collided with Bag Of Magic.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. McMahon, the representative of the greyhound Surfonic Gold regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Surfonic Gold was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Surfonic Gold with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mrs. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge.  Surfonic Gold was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Neocleous, the trainer of Johnny Wolf regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Johnny Wolf last race on 11th March, 2017 and is returning to race from an injury to the left front tendon. 

Dynamo Magic and Mini Load were slow to begin.  Zipping Frank and Johnny Wolf were very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Black Odessa crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Dymano Magic and severely checking Mini Load.  Dymano Magic and Black Odessa collided on the first turn checking Black Odessa.
