Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Greenback Boogie.
Bekim Fire was slow to begin. Sisco General and Greenback Boogie collided soon after the start. Cosmic Tilly, Sketchy Jack, Greenback Boogie, Elite Shiraz and Destini Scorcher collided on the first turn, checking all five greyhounds.
A sample was taken from Sisco General, the winner of the event.
MEETING COMMENTS
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Maxwell Wintle, the trainer of Candy Kid, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Candy Kid last raced on 9 December 2016. Mr Wintle stated that Candy Kid had sustained a right hock injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Candy Kid trialled over the 525m from box one, weight 24kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 31.29, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of a head. Candy Kid was cleared.
