A pre-race sample was taken from Stroke Of Genius.
Stroke Of Genius was slow to begin.
Puzzle And Me and Cooler Colour collided soon after the start. Irish Connection and Cooler Colour collided at the 300m mark with Cooler Colour tailing off as a result. Domestic Girl and Fiery Nell collided at the 200m mark, and again at the 100m mark, checking Domestic Girl. Mr. Alfie (late Alfie) checked off the heels of Irish Connections at the 100m mark.
Cooler Colour was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left gracilis (back) muscle. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.
