Jaclyn Bale was quick to begin. Gray Bale and Go Didda Go were slow to begin. Infra Dig and Dyna Misty collided soon after the start checking Dyna Misty. Dyna Misty, Go Didda Go and Regal Tycoon collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Misty. Dyna Misty and Gray Bale collided on the first turn checking Dyna Misty. Go Didda Go and Regal Tycoon collided on the first turn checking Go Didda Go. Regal Tycoon and Gray Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Gray Bale. Go Didda Go and Whippy Bale collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn. Whippy Bale marred the running of Go Didda Go in the home straight. Ronray Legend raced wide on the home turn. Gray Bale and Go Didda Go collided in the home straight.
Whippy Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Heinrich, the representative of the greyhound Whippy Bale regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Whippy Bale with marring. Ms. Heinrich pleaded guilty to the charge. Whippy Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
