Steward's Report
Miss Vane crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Southwood Max. Zipping Quinsee, Mr. Stealer, Meehan Sox Meehan Dan and Aqua Cheetah collided on the first turn checking Meehan Sox and Meehan Dan and causing Mr. Stealer to fall. Meehan Dan and Southwood Max collided on the home turn. Meehan Dan checked off Southwood Max entering the home straight. Southwood Max and Zipping Quinsee collided approaching the winning post. Zipping Quinsee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustaine a right hind toe dislocation. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
Mr. Stealer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both stifles. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Drummond, trainer of Mr. Stealer and requested a veterinary certificate be produced, to clear the greyhound for racing prior to any further nominations being accepted. Stewards have reached this decision after taking into consideration that Mr. Stealer has fallen in it's previous two starts.
