Steward's Report
Kentucky Sun and Spring's Over were slow to begin. Barellen Panther and Angel Of Glory collided approaching the first turn, checking Angel Of Glory, Spring's Over and Lulu Lollipop. Kentucky Sun checked off Barellen Panther on the first turn. Sutre Sizzler galloped on the heels of Sisco Sizzle approaching the home turn, checking Sisco Sizzle. Barellen Panther eased approaching the home turn and collided with Sisco Sizzle, resulting in Sutre Sizzler and Ocean Bay being checked and Sisco Sizzle being severely checked and falling. Barellen Panther and Angel Of Glory collided on the home turn. Lulu Lollipop raced wide entering the home straight. Angel Of Glory checked off Barellen Panther in the home straight. Spring's Over and Ocean Bay collided approaching the winning post.
Sisco Sizzle was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tear to the left monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Graham Julian, the handler of the greyhound Barellen Panther, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Barellen Panther was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left foreleg monkey and right hindleg pencil/whip injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Barellen Panther with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Julian pleaded guilty to the charge, Barellen Panther was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
