A pre-race sample was taken from Altesse.
Altesse, Rising Girl and Solar Rapid collided on the first turn, severely checking Solar Rapid which pulled up as a result.. Optic Bray, Kate's Boy and Barb Allen collided on the first turn, checking Barb Allen and Optic Bray. Kate's Boy brushed the rail entering the home straight.
Solar Rapid was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left quadriceps muscle injury and spike wounds to left and right hind toes, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
