A pre-race sample was taken from Tooralee.
Hillbilly Bubba was quick to begin. Aruma Girl was slow to begin. Ripsaw Ronny and Bobby Tron collided on the first turn checking Bobby Tron. Redfinn Fozz and Tooralee collided on the first turn. Tooralee checked off Redfin Fozz approaching the home turn. Redfin Fozz and Bobby Tron collided on the home turn checking Bobby Tron. Bletchley and Ripsaw Ronny raced wide on the home turn. Bletchley and Ripsaw Ronny collided several times in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.
Meeting Comments:-
Stewards spoke to trainers, Ms J Walker and Mr T Van Taarling, and reminded both trainers of GRV's expectations regarding their conduct towards each other at a race meeting.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Unbackable trialled over the 450mts from box 1, weight 33.1kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.53, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.5L. Unbackable was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Phillips, the trainer of Simonic Drive regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Simonic Drive last raced on 13th November 2016. Mr. Phillips stated that the greyhound was returning from being seasonal and injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Simonic Drive trialled over the 390mts from box 1, weight 26.8kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.
