Steward's Report

A pre-race urine sample was taken from Conquer Fear upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sacred Diamond.

Paddles Anderson was slow to begin.  Sacred Diamond checked off Bare Bones approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Lissa Breen and Turfman collided on the first turn.  Bare Bones checked off Lissa Breen entering the back straight.  Bare Bones and Paddles Anderson collided in the back straight.

A post-race blood sample was taken from Conquer Fear, the winner of the event.

There was no home straight head on vision available for this meeting. 

Satisfactory Trial Results

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Clarke, the trainer of the greyhound Special Unit regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Special Unit last raced on 9th December 2016.  Mr. Clarke stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a right triangle muscle injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Special Unit trialled over the 311 metre distance from box 3, weight 37.6kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.33.  The greyhound won by a margin of 3.5 lengths.  Special Unit was cleared.
