Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from She's Dee Rocket.
Tricky Trey and Premo Potion were slow to begin. Mustang Sammy and Le Sands collided soon after the start. Tricky Trey and Le Sands collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Mustang Sammy raced wide approaching the home turn. Tricky Trey and Le Sands collided on the home turn. She's Dee Rocket and Nellie's Lad collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
Nellie's Lad was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its left front toe and metacarpal. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. D. Baker, the trainer of Nellie's Lad regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Repici regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Tricky Trey. Stewards directed that Tricky Trey be boxed first in future events.
