Brandeen Bayley was quick to begin. On Billy's Wings, Roller Bale and Lilty Allen were slow to begin. On Billy's Wings and Roller Bale collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Tumble And Dry and Bambalam Tilly collided on the first turn. Rozehill Beth and Implosion Liam collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. On Billy's Wings raced wide approaching the home turn checking Bambalam Tilly, causing Lilty Allen to race wide as a result.
