Steward's Report
Emi's Boy Murph was a late scratching at 3.40pm due to injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre race sample was taken from Cracking Joe upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre race sample was taken from Crickets Dash.
A pre race sample was taken from Phil's In Luck.
Jimmy's Joken and Phil's In Luck were quick to begin. Cracking Joe and Peter's Pride collided on the first turn, severely checking both greyhounds. Crickets Dash and Parisian Magic collided on the first turn, checking Parisian Magic.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Carter the trainer of Why Not Cory by telephone after he left the course without steward's permission. Mr. Carter will present the dog at Cranbourne GRC on 18th April, 2017 for a vet check.
18/4/17:
Mr. Greg. Carter the trainer of Why Not Cory presented the greyhound for a veterinary examination as directed above, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Mr. Greg Carter was also issued with a warning regarding him leaving / removing Why Not Corey from the kennels at the Sale meeting without stewards permission.
