Steward's Report
Rube's Ablaze was a late scratching at 11:02 am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr G Green was fined the sum of $100.
Mr K Cook, representative of Son of Steve declared a new weight of 29.6 kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Son of Steve last raced at 31.1 kg's.
A pre race sample was taken from Son Of Steve.
Captain Pete went up with the lids and was very slow to begin - 3 lengths. Simply Good, Son Of Steve and Oh Lele Peter collided soon after the start. Tranquil Will checked off Spring Kitty approaching the first turn. Simply Good checked off Oh Lele Peter on the first turn. Spring Kitty and Alexanderia collided on the first turn checking Alexanderia. Son Of Steve checked off Captain Pete in the home straight.
Alexanderia was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right biceps and sartorius, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Luck's Run Out trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 30.7kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was22.14 the greyhound won by a margin of 12 L. Luck's Run Out was cleared.
