Fess Crockett was slow to begin. Alpha Themis, Lockrod and Sugar Roselee collided soon after the start checking Sugar Roselee and Alpha Themis. Hearts To Hearts and Lektra Miss collided approaching the first turn. Lektra Miss checked off Crackerjack Dave on the first turn. Fess Crockett checked off Lockrod on the home turn. Lektra Miss checked off Crackerjack Dave on the home turn. Fess Crockett and Crackerjack Dave raced wide in the home straight.
Lektra Miss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right groin injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
