Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Barnard, the trainer of Manx Knight regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Manx Knight last raced on 19 January 2017 and is returning after a change of kennels.
A pre-race sample was taken from Big Burkey.
Silver Rockstar and Joni Sunset were quick to begin. Big Burkey and Sunset Senorita collided soon after the start. Manx Knight was checked off Silver Rockstar approaching the first turn. Poker Brat and Manx Knight collided approaching the home turn. Big Burkey and Sunset Senorita collided approaching the home turn. Poker Brat and Big Burkey collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Hay, the trainer of Miss Mathieson regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Miss Mathieson last raced on 13 November 2016. Mr. Hay stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after sustaining two broken does on the left hind foot. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Miss Mathieson trialled over the 315 metres from box 8, weight 25.5kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.66 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4 lengths. Miss Mathieson was cleared..
