Zipping Hugh, Tram Tracker, Jake Of Carson and Palladino were quick to begin.  Race Roquette was slow to begin.  Robs Rocket galloped on Palladino on the first turn checking Robs Rocket and Palladino and severely checking Hollywood Nights which collided with Race Roquette,  checking Race Roquette as a result.  Zipping Hugh and Palladino collided on the first turn.  Zipping Hugh and Palladino collided entering the home straight.  Race Roquette raced wide approaching the winning post.

Hollywood Nights was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. L.  Russell, the representative of the greyhound Call Me Tickets regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Call Me Tickets with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mrs. Russell pleaded guilty to the charge, Call Me Tickets was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
