A pre-race sample was taken from Gats As Promised.
Reality Hawk and Gats As Promised collided soon after the start, checking Gats As Promised. Optima Semper and Quarter To Six collided approaching the first turn. Aston Bolt faltered approaching the first turn and lost ground as a result. Gats As Promised and Brandeen Peaches collided approaching the winning post.
Aston Bolt was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.
