Steward's Report
Canadash and Zak's Turbo were quick to begin. Clock The Gas was slow to begin.
Stitch Gun Miss, Canadash and Ann Cherie collided soon after the start. Stitch Gun Miss, Canadash and Zak's Turbo collided approaching the first turn. Murrabit Ranger pulled up on the first turn and did not finish the event. Ann Cherie and Little Kensi collided entered the home straight. Stitch Gun Miss and Clock The Gas collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr D Jeffries, the representative of the greyhound Murrabit Ranger, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Murrabit Ranger was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries an abrasion to the inside right thigh, and a three-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Murrabit Ranger with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Jeffries pleaded guilty to the charge, Murrabit Ranger was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
