Kreuzenstein was slow to begin. Destini Wildfire and Billy's Bake collided soon after the start. Molly Chapta crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Ok Jake, Billy's Bake and Destini Wildfire. Mepunga Focus checked off Molly Chapta on the first turn. Triple Agent, Air Commander, Destini Wildfire, Billy's Bake and Ok Jake collided on the first turn, checking all greyhounds. Destini Wildfire and Billy's Bake collided on the third turn, checking Destini Wildfire. Billy's Bake and Ok Jake collided approaching the home turn, checking Billy's Bake. Molly Chapta tired over the concluding stages.
Kreuzenstein which trailed the field throughout was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg triangle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
