Southwood Hazel was quick to begin. Fencer was slow to begin. Don The Sash, Space and Dewana Special collided soon after the start checking Fencer, Dewana Special and Space. Don The Sash and Moonlit Wings collided approaching the first turn. Southwood Hazel and Don The Sash collided on the first turn.
Don The Sash was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
A sample was to have been taken from Striker Klinsman, the winner of the event, but had to be aborted due to a breach of kennel security.
