Dr. Kestrel and Pink Rocket were quick to begin.  Johnny Bullet was slow to begin.  Mignon and Zipping Stu collided soon after the start.  Magic Diamond, Dewana Crownie, Mignon and Zipping Stu collided approaching the first turn checking Magic Diamond, Mignon and Zipping Stu.  Dr. Kestrel, Dewana Crownie and Johnny Bullet collided on the first turn severely checking Johnny Bullet and Dewana Crownie, Dewana Crownie stumbled and Zipping Stu fell as a result.  Dr. Kestrel and Magic Diamond collided in the home straight.

Dewana Crownie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Zipping Stu was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right front foot, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Pink Rocket - winner of the event.

Cement Socks, Irish Mobster and Zall Over were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Irish Mobster.  Kayo King and Coolan Man collided on the first turn.  Irish Mobster and Cement Socks collided on the first turn checking Irish Mobster and severely checking Cement Socks which tailed off as a result.  Coolan Man and Zipping Comet collided on the home turn.  Zall Over galloped on Kayo King entering the home straight.  Zipping Comet was checked off Kayo King in the home straight.  Coolan Man and Poppy Jay collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Cement Socks was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle,  60 day stand down period was imposed.

Toshulan was quick to begin.  Magic Rama and Harvey Leigh were slow to begin.  Honeycomb Smooth and Machiko collided soon after the start.  Magic Rama and Harvey Leigh collided approaching the first turn.  Honeycomb Smooth, Magic Rama and Harvey Leigh collided on the first turn.  Soda Sky, Lakeview Luke and Spritely Boy collided on the first turn checking Lakeview Luke, Harvey Leigh and Honeycomb Smooth.  Soda Sky was checked off Toshulan approaching the second turn.  Lakeview Luke eased entering the back straight.  Soda Sky and Magic Rama collided entering the back straight. Lakeview Luke eased on the third turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. H. Whelan the representative of the greyhound Lakeview Luke regarding the greyhounds's racing manners entering the back straight and on the third turn. Lakeview Luke was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right hind leg, no stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Lakeview Luke with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mr. Whelan pleaded guilty to the charge, Lakeview Luke was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Texas Tommy was quick to begin.  Rylee's Ring In and Emi's Boy Badger were slow to begin.  Dr. Bodacious and Our Jess collided approaching the first turn.  Movida and Aston Dima collided on the first turn checking Aston Dima, Rylee's Ring In and Emi's Boy Badger.  Movida was checked off Our Jess on the second turn checking Dr. Bodacious.  Rylee's Ring In crossed to the outside entering the home straight.

Narralee was quick to begin.  Louie Neveelk and Magic Ambush collided soon after the start.  Apatchy Racer and Lakeview Harley collided soon after the start.  Ulla and Ripper collided approaching the first turn.  Magic Ambush and Apatchy Racer collided on the first turn.  Louie Neveelk galloped on Magic Ambush approaching the second turn checking Louie Neveelk, Magic Ambush and Ripper.  Lakeview Harley and Ripper collided in the back straight.

Magic Ambush was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have an abscess on the left hind toe, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. M. Lont the trainer of Magic Ambush regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn.

A sample was taken from Apatchy Racer - second placegetter in the event.

Spring Patsy was a late scratching at 10.58 am due to injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zipping Scarlet and Bobby's Baby were slow to begin.  Dewana Babe, Asa Warning and Daintree Puzzle collided approaching the first turn checking Asa Warning, Dewana Babe and Under Taker.  Asa Warning and Zipping Scarlet collided in the front straight.  Daintree Puzzle and Under Taker collided on the second turn.

Lakeview Miss and Marciarno Miss were quick to begin.  Paua Invader was slow to begin.  Precipitation, Lakeview Miss and Marciarno Miss collided on the first turn checking Precipitation and Marciarno Miss.  Marciarno Miss and Johnny Mobster collided several times in the back staight and again in the home straight.

Dagwood was vetted following the event after contacting the running rail after the winning post.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to the left elbow, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Paua Invader - winner of the event.

Dewana Interest was a late scratching at 7.20pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to injury.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Scorching Fella and Henry Lee collided soon after the start.  Henry and Bro Sam's Hook collided approaching the first turn checking Dewana Special and Henry.  Henry and Scorching Fella collided approaching the first turn.  Bro Sam's Hook and Henry Lee collided on the first turn checking Bro Sam's Hook and Dewana Special.  Henry raced wide approaching the second turn.  Landon was checked off Blue Surfonic in the back straight.  Dewana Special was checked off Landon on the third turn.  Landon and Blue Surfonic collided on the home turn.

Runaway Shaye was slow to begin.  Zelemar Doll crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Love The Grub and Cowrie and severley checking Vintage Warrior and Lovey.  Customized and Gotta Rush collided approaching the home turn.

Vintage Warrior was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left stifle, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Lovey was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injured shoulders, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Call Me Boz.

Call Me Boz and Maverick Dusty were slow to begin.  Astromatic, Buckle Up Nikki, Dragon Glass and Fragility collided approaching the first turn.  Richo Brae crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Astromatic, Buckle up Nikki, Fragility and Call Me Boz and severely checking Dragon Glass, Linny Morris and Maverick Dusty.  Dragon Glass galloped on Fragility approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Brooklyn Cruiser was a late scratching at 8.25 pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a dislocated toe on the right hind foot.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Scarlet Black, Better Beware and Roll 'Em Maggie were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Better Beware. Scarlet Black was checked off West On Betty approaching the first turn. Scarlet Black was checked off West On Betty approaching the home turn checking Roll 'Em Maggie. Scarlet Black and Roll 'Em Maggie collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B Alford, the trainer of Nitro Hook regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Nitro Hook last raced on 31st January, 2016 and is returning to racing after having surgery on a broken left metatarsal. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Knight the trainer of Green Stone regarding the greyhound being down in weight from it's previous two wins.  Mr. Knight stated that the greyhound is a bad traveller but he was surprised that the greyhound had lost one kilogram.  Stewards directed that Green Stone undergo a veterinary examination prior to the event.  Green Stone was passed fit to run.

Green Stone and Rose Of Dyanna were very slow to begin (3 lengths). Nitro Hook and Aston Lydia collided soon after the start.  Green Stone was checked off Rose Of Dyanna approaching the first turn. Make Us Magic was checked off Won Wron Flyer approaching the home turn checking Aston Lydia and Rose Of Dyanna. Fallen Star and Rose Of Dyanna collided approaching the home turn. Aston Lydia and Make Us Magic collided approaching the home turn.
