Firecette and Belena Jake were slow to begin.
Maintenance Man and Major Missile collided soon after the start checking Major Missile. Shamus's Entity, Ginsue Too and Firecette collided approaching the first turn checking Firecette and severely checking Ginsue Too which contacted the running rail and lost considerable ground. Major Missile and Belena Jake collided approaching the home turn severely checking Major Missile and Firecette causing both greyhounds to stumble. Maintenance Man checked off Grand Legacy approaching the home turn. Shamus's Entity and Belena Jake collided on the home turn.
Major Missile was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both back muscles and the right pencil muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Ginsue Too was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left hind leg and an injury to the left tricep muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Firecette was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
