Better Punk was quick to begin. Dinosoul, Knock The Top and Galba Fred collided soon after the start checking Knock The Top. Dinosoul and Crusade Marjen collided approaching the first turn. Lektra Elite checked off Better Punk on the first turn and collided with Dinosoul and Crusade Marjen resulting in Dinosoul being checked. Lektra Elite and Sara's Comet collided approaching the home turn. Dinosoul galloped on the heels of Galba Fred approaching the home turn checking Dinosoul, Dinosoul raced wide as a result. Sara's Comet and Better Punk collided in the home straight. Cyclone Olive raced wide approaching the winning post.
Cyclone Olive was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
