Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms S Quinlan, the trainer of Cullquin Abbey, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Cullquin Abbey last raced on 11 January 2017. Ms Quinlan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a left hindleg injury. Ms Quinlan declared a new weight for the greyhound of 25.8 kgs in accordance with GAR 39(2). Cullquin Abbey last raced at 27.0 kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Frosty Tiara.
Nitro Heroine and Chickaletta were quick to begin. Nitro Heroine, Nippy Allen, Frosty Tiara and Chickaletta collided soon after the start, checking all greyhounds. Nippy Allen and Baker Street collided approaching the first turn, checking Nippy Allen.
