Stewards spoke to Mr F.Meyer, the trainer of the greyhound Mystic Powers. Stewards deemed the performance of Mystic Powers unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Mystic Powers must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr S Stefanos, the trainer of Berridale Buddie, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Berridale Buddie last raced on 9 December 2016.  Mr Stefanos stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a left triangle injury.

Mr J Mangion, the trainer of Big Roman, declared a new weight of 36.9 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Big Roman last raced at 38.9 kgs.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr S Gibilisco, the trainer of Bobby Tron, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Bobby Tron last raced on 12 October 2016.  Mr Gibilisco stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right hind foot injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Bobby Tron trialled over the 425m from box two, weight 33.6kgs, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four starters.  The time of the trial was 24:15, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.75 lengths.  Bobby Tron was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr K Hunt, the trainer of Natari, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Natari last raced on 20 April 2016.  Mr Hunt stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a sesaon and a right wrist injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Natari trialled over the 425m from box five, weight 25.5 kgs, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four starters.  The time of the trial was 24:15, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12 lengths.  Natari was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Amigo One trialled over the 425m from box eight, weight 30.4 kgs, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four starters.  The time of the trial was 24:15, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of three lengths.  Amigo One was Cleared.
