Stewards spoke to Mr J. Delaroche, the handler of Shades Of Lippy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Shades Of Lippy last raced on26/12/2016. Mr Delaroche stated that the greyhound was returning from a right back muscle injury.

Majik Mikado was presented for a re-vet assessment at the conclusion of kennelling and was passed fit to race.

Satisfactory Trial Results -Half Moon Rising trialled over the 311 from box 1, weight 32.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.06, the greyhound won by a margin of 6 lengths. Half Moon Rising was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results -Buckle Up Nelson trialled over the 311 from box 8, weight 33.8, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.06, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 27.5 lengths. Buckle Up Nelson was Not Cleared.
