Calendar Boy was a late scratching at 4.42pm due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Fugitive Bale and Black Impala were slow out. Brazililian Brae, Allen Gerwin and Dyna Jerry collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds. Allen Gerwen, Dyna Jerry, Big Rough and Pattaya Paul collided approaching the first turn checking Big Rough. Big Rough and Fugitive Bale collided approaching the first trun and on the first turn. Pattaya Paul and Black Impala collided on the first turn checking Pattaya Paul. Dyna Jerry and Pattaya Paul collided approaching the second turn. Big Rough checked off Fugitive Bale on the second turn. Dyna Jerry and Pattaya Paul collided entering the back straight checking Dyna Jerry. Dyna Jerry and Big Rough collided on the home turn.
