Steward's Report
Scoota Flash was a late scratching at 4:36pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a right hind bleeding papilloma. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Har Pur Mar was slow to begin. Runnin' On Fire and Missed An Earn collided soon after the start. Missed An Earn, Taabinga Sprite and Har Pur Mar collided approaching the first turn. Transkei Rocca, Runnin' On Fire, Missed An Earn and Har Pur Mar collided on the first turn. Runnin' On Fire was checked off Har Pur Mar approaching the second turn. Missed An Earn failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight and collided with Omega Brittany, the rug of Omega Brittany became lodged in the muzzle of Missed An Earn as a result checking both greyhounds.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Divirgilio the trainer of the greyhound Missed An Earn regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Missed An Earn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left wrist, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Missed An Earn with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Divirgilio pleaded guilty to the charge, Missed An Earn was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
