Mr. D. Rhodes, Trainer of Yangtze declared a new weight of 31.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Yangtze last raced at 30.7kg.
Riverside Kim, Classy Gun and Yangtze were quick to begin. Hurricane Craig, Blue Sky Babe and Mahlo Hero were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Hurricane Craig and Blue Sky Babe. Aremac Igor clipped the heels of Classy Gun approaching the first turn and fell as a result checking Mahlo Hero. Riverside Kim and Yangtze collided in the home straight.
Aremac Igo was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
