Bellario stumbled soon after the start and was slow to begin. Chillby, Broulee Miss, Waleonjon and Gotta Cheer Up collided soon after the start checking Gotta Cheer Up. Chillby, Broulee Miss, Waleonjon and Justa Jezza collided approaching the first turn checking Chillby. Bellario and Chillby collided on the first turn checking Chillby. Broulee Miss checked off Soeztoc on the first turn. Soeztoc and Waleonjon collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Bellario and Gotta Cheer Up collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Justa Jezza and Soeztoc collided on the home turn and again several times in the home straight.
Chillby was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 5. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a thoraco-lumbar injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
