Bobbi Delicious was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind triangle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr S. Bianco, the trainer of the greyhound Bobbi Delicious regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1)stewards charged Bobbi Delicious with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr S. Bianco pleaded guilty to the charge, Bobbi Delicious was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a)before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Maverick Thunder upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Lektra Khan was slow to begin.

El Surrao and Maverick Thunder collided soon after the start.  Snow matter, Dodgy Dede, Allen Terminator and El Surrao collided approaching the first turn checking Snow Matter.  Snow Matter, El Surrao, Allen Terminator and Lektra Khan collided on the first turn checking Lektra Khan and severely checking Allen terminator.  Snow Matter and Dodgy Dede collided on the home turn.  Maverick Thunder and Blue Westmead collided in the home straight checking Blue Westmead.  

Allen Terminator was vetted following the event.  it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind thigh injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Nayla Swift and She's Got Grace were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Boss Senor and Dream Date collided approaching the first turn.  Limburg Dan, Nayla Swift and She's Got grace collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Boss Senor checked off Vic For Short approaching the winning post.

Tambay Bale checked off Wind Whistler on the fifth turn checking Miss Bo Wicked.  Wind Whistler and Reichenbach collided approaching the home turn.  Miss Bo Wicked and Reichenbach collided in the home straight.  Reichenbach tied approaching the winning post.

Reichenbach was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Dream Ticket, Quasi Bale, Edge Of Eden and Blue Giant collided on the first turn checking Quasi bale, Edge Of Eden and Blue Giant.  Ernest Bale and Areoplane Bob collided on the first turn.  Dream Ticket and White Bandit collided approaching the second turn.  White bandit and Ernest Bale collided several times in the home straight.  Ernest Bale and White Bandit collided approaching the winning post.

White Bandit was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there were abrasions to the left calf and left front toe, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr M. Delbridge,the handler of White bandit regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

Darpa Bale and Rivergum Drive were slow to begin.

Hercules Bale and Darpa Bale collided soon after the start.  Fuelish and Midnight Flynn collided soon after the start.  Darpa Bale and Rivergum Drive collided on the first turn.  Dyna Irminus and Dalgetty collided on the second turn.  Rivergum Drive contacted the running rail entering the back straight.  Rivergum Drive faltered and pulled up on the third turn.

Rivergum Drive was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hind hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Ivy Bale was quick to begin.

Ima Misha Doll and Asa Flying Spur collided soon after the start.  One For Me, Asa Flying Spur and Mepunga Rosie collided approaching the first turn checking Mepunga Rosie and Cette Away.  One For Me checked off Sisco Rage on the second turn checking Ima Misha Doll.  Money Come Back faltered in the back straight and pulled up.  Asa Flying Spur and Mepunga Rosie collided on the third turn.

Money Come back was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Allen Marky and Eaton Bale were slow to begin.

Waymore's Blues crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Hession Boots, Pagan Midnight, Ballerino and Eaton Bale.  Irish Asteria, Irish Whip and Waymore's Blues collided on the first turn checking Irish Whip and severely checking Pagan Midnight and Eaton Bale and causing Irish Asteria to fall.  Hession Boots and Ballerino collided on the second turn.

Irish Asteria was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a righ hind hock injury, a 21 day stand dow period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Borg regarding the direction that the greyhound Ballerino be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52 (2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Lorimer Lad was a late scratching at6.33pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr G. Ennis was fined the sum of $100.

Latino Ice went up with the lids at box rise.  Liam was quick to begin.  Crucify, Quotation Mark and Howies Flyer were slow to begin.

Quotation Mark and Latino Ice collided approaching the first turn.  What's To Like and Simply Elite collided on the first turn.  Simply Elite and Howies Flyer collided on the first turn.  Crucify and Simply Elite collided on the second turn. Quotation Mark checked off Liam entering the back straight.  Simply Elite raced wide entering the back straight.  What's To Like and Crucify collided on the third turn.  Latino Ice and Quotation Mark collided approaching the home turn.

Emily Jane and Dark Obsession collided soon after the start checking Dark Obsession.  Moonlit Wings, Become The Fuse, Just A Dot and Tronnie Oldfield collided approaching the first turn checking Become The Fuse and Just A Dot.  Moonlit Wings and Become The Fuse collided approaching the second turn causing Moonlit Wings to collided with Tronnie Oldfield.  Pinky Bale and Just A Dot collided on the second turn checking Just A Dot.  Moonlit Wings and Dark Obsession collided on the third turn checking Moonlit Wings.  Emily Jane and Become The Fuse collided entering the back straight.  Dark Obsession and Tronnie Oldfield collided on the fourth turn.

Peggy Dooley and Bronco De Jurer collided several times approaching the first turn.  Still The One, Pink Shoelaces and Sonic Sprite collided on the first turn checking Still The One, Pink Shoelaces, Sonic Sprite and Bobby's Baby.  Peggy Dooley, Bronco De Jurer and Darcon Dash collided on the first turn.  Pink Shoelaces contacted the running rail on the second turn and lost ground.

Meeting Comments:

Following kennelling Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. B Klemke (Lektra Khan) regarding the circumstances pertaining to the scratching of the greyhound from the Meadows on 30th March 2016.  Mr Klemke explained that his car had overheated on the way to the Meadows and needed to be towed to a nearby property.  Mr Klemke also explained that in the timeframe available he was unable to source a lift from another person.  Stewards also noted that Mr Klemke had produced a mechanical receipt verifying relevant information and that all penalties related to the scratching had been previously lifted.
