A pre-race sample ws taken from Mighty Sam upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Letron James and Allen Impose were slow to begin. Lektra Khan and Fizzy Bale collided soon after the start checking Lektra Khan. Mighty Sam and Unlawful Entry collided soon after the start checking Unlawful Entry. Fizzy Bale and Showtime Mystery collided on the first turn checking Mighty Sam, Showtime Mystery and Allen Impose, severely checking Letron James. King Size Shambi and Showtime Mystery collided on the second turn checking Mighty Sam and Showtime Mystery. Lektra Khan and Letron James collided on the third turn checking Letron James. Mighty Sam and Allen Impose collided approaching the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr T. Dailly, Handler of Letron James, regarding his late arrival at the kennels to retrieve the greyhound for racing. Stewards charged Mr Dailly, pursuant to GAR 46(2). Mr Dailly pleaded guilty to the offence and a fine of $100 was imposed.
