Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. H. Melville, the handler of Gotta Rush regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Gotta Rush last raced on 19th November 2015. Ms. Melville stated the greyhound was resuming racing following a fractured metacarpal.
Mrs. P. Patterson, trainer of Jemlee declared a new weight of 26.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jemlee last raced at 24.4kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Gotta Rush.
Wolf Spy and Winter Time were slow to begin. Go Lakers Go, Paul Stealer and Gotta Rush collided soon after the start. Jemlee checked off King Of Sunshine approaching the first turn. Paul Stealer, Furious Jack and Go Lakers Go collided approaching the first turn checking Furious Jack and Go Lakers Go. Jemlee, Furious Jack, Wolf Spy, Go Lakers Go and Winter Time collided on the first turn checking Wolf Spy and Go Lakers Go. Paul Stealer and Gotta Rush collided approaching the home turn. Paul Stealer, Wolf Spy and Winter Time raced wide on the home turn. Paul Stealer raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ward, the trainer of Wild Last Stress regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Wild Last Stress last raced on 14th June 2015. Mr. Ward stated that the greyhound was returning to race after suffering a back muscle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Wild Last Stress trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 32.8kgs. The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.44. The greyhound won by a margin of 7.75 lengths. Wild Last Stress was cleared.
