Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Brouwer, the trainer of Buddy Arrow regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Buddy Arrow last raced on 28th September 2015.  Mrs. Brouwer stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a right shoulder injury.

Milly O'Muffin was quick to begin.  Shake 'Em Up and Donna O'Muffin were slow to begin.  Donna O'Muffin and Buddy Arrow collided approaching the first turn. West Side Jet checked off Seabrook Oscar approaching the first turn.  Katie Alouette, She's A Freebie and Seabrook Oscar collided on the first turn.  Milly O'Muffin and Seabrook Oscar collided approaching the home turn.

Limburg Frankie and Another Camelot were slow to begin.  Pyrenees Dynasty checked off Beklana on the first turn.  Mausie and Beklana collided on the first turn.  Pyrenees Dynasty and Limburg Frankie collided in the back straight.  Pyrenees Dynasty and Immo Com collided on the home turn.  Immo Com raced wide in the home straight.  Pyrenees Dynasty checked off Limburg Frankie in the home straight.

Derail was slow to begin.  Good Yarn and General's Girl collided soon after the start.  Sisco Blast, Derail and Pyrenees Diva collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Suplex City galloped on the heels of I'm Mad on the home turn checking I'm Mad and Good Yarn.  I'm Mad and Derail collided on the home turn.  I'm Mad marred the running of Sixty Three in the home straight checking Sixty Three.  I'm Mad and Suplex City collided approaching the winning post.

I'm Mad was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Hare, the trainer of the greyhound I'm Mad regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1), the stewards charged I'm Mad with marring.  Mr. Hare pleaded not guilty to the charge.  I'm Mad was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tally Ho Dejay was slow to begin.  Noddy's Knocka and Mum Said No collided approaching the first turn.  Brace For Impact and Running Home collided approaching the first turn.  Brace For Impact, Running Home and All Noise collided on the first turn severely checking Running Home, All Noise and Dolce Ventu.  All Noise checked off Dolce Ventu approaching the home turn.  Brace For Impact raced wide on the home turn.  Running Home and All Noise collided on the home turn.  

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. K. Lloyd, the handler of the greyhound Running Home regarding his late arrival to the kennels to prepare the greyhound for this event.

Noddy's Knocka was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 7, it was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right thigh and left shoulder.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Running Home was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

All Noise was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained superficial grazing to its legs.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ward, the trainer of Mr. Alouette regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Mr. Allouette last raced on 12th November 2015.  Mr. Ward stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a toe injury.

Cairnlea Bill and Mr. Alouette collided soon after the start.  Ceejay Whim and Cairnlea Bill collided approaching the first turn.  Mr. Alouette and Spring Topaz collided approaching the first turn.  Suzy Nitro checked off Cairnlea Bill on the first turn.  Fast Boloney and Time Taker collided on the first turn checking Time Taker.

Mr. A. Marum was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers/registration card were produced for the greyhound Dulcet Sound.pursuant to GAR 33.

Stewards spoke to Ms. H. Melville,  the handler of Gotta Rush regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Gotta Rush last raced on 19th November 2015.  Ms. Melville stated the greyhound was resuming racing following a fractured metacarpal.

Mrs. P. Patterson, trainer of Jemlee declared a new weight of 26.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jemlee last raced at 24.4kgs.

Satisfactory Trial

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ward, the trainer of Wild Last Stress regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Wild Last Stress last raced on 14th June 2015.  Mr. Ward stated that the greyhound was returning to race after suffering a back muscle injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Wild Last Stress trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 32.8kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.44.  The greyhound won by a margin of 7.75 lengths.  Wild Last Stress was cleared.
