Steward's Report
Derail was slow to begin. Good Yarn and General's Girl collided soon after the start. Sisco Blast, Derail and Pyrenees Diva collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Suplex City galloped on the heels of I'm Mad on the home turn checking I'm Mad and Good Yarn. I'm Mad and Derail collided on the home turn. I'm Mad marred the running of Sixty Three in the home straight checking Sixty Three. I'm Mad and Suplex City collided approaching the winning post.
I'm Mad was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Hare, the trainer of the greyhound I'm Mad regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1), the stewards charged I'm Mad with marring. Mr. Hare pleaded not guilty to the charge. I'm Mad was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
