Buck Forty, Time No Money and Destini Soprano were slow to begin.  Eily West and Darpa Bale collided soon after the start checking Darpa Bale.  Eily West and Darpa Bale collided on the first turn.  Time No Money checked off Destini Soprano approaching the second turn and raced wide as a result.  Destini Soprano and Darpa Bale collided on the home turn.  Landmark and Zipping Zeus collided entering the home straight.  Mepunga Fame verred in and marred Landmark approaching the winning post.

Mepunga Fame was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Ms A. Langton, Representative of Mepunga Fame.  Acting under GAR 69(1), Stewards charged Mepunga Fame with marring.  Ms Langton pleaded guilty to the charge, Mepunga Fame was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown Park and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Murray, Trainer of Champion Exhibit regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Champion Exhibit last raced on 6 October, 2015.  Mr Murray stated that the greyhound had been recovering from a right hock injury.

Gassy's Pride and Allen Zhara were quick to begin and collided soon after the start.  Enduro Miss, Mepunga Midget and Mighty Matlock collided soon after the start checking Mepunga Midget.  Invictus Blu and Champion Exhibit collided soon after the start checking Champion Exhibit.  Invictus Blu crossed to the rail approaching the first turn.  Gassy's Pride, Allen Zhara and Mighty Matlock collided on the first turn checking Mighty Matlock, severely checking Sausage Sizzle and Champion Exhibit which raced wide as a result.  Mepunga Midget checked off Champion Exhibit approaching the second turn.  Enduro Miss and Mighty Matlock collided several times approaching the second turn and again in the back straight, severely checking both greyhounds.  Sausage Sizzle contacted the running rail on the third turn and lost ground as a result.  Gassy's Pride and Allen Zhara collided on the home turn.

Enduro Miss was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right metatarsals, no stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Mighty Matlock, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Laura.

Bag Of Magic was quick to begin.  Limited Vision, Unique Replica and Pearl's Legacy collided soon after the start checking Bare Bones, Limited Vision and Pearl's Legacy.  Pearl's Legacy raced wide on the second turn and again in the back straight.  Bare Bones checked off Limited Vision on the second turn.  Bare Bones checked off Pearl's Legacy on the third turn checking Zipping Laura.

Allen Portland and Go Go Treetment were quick to begin.  Zipping Nolen was slow to begin.  Zipping Alex and Jaguara collided soon after the start checking Jaguara.  Alpha Nemesis, Jaguara and Zipping Nolen collided approaching the first turn checking Jaguara and Zipping Nolen.  Jaguara checked off Zipping Nolen on the second turn.  Mafalda Hopkirk checked off Go Go Treetment on the third turn.  Jaguara eased approaching the home turn and collided with Zipping Nolen.  Jaguara eased again on the home turn and collided with Zipping Nolen.      

Jaguara was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr M. Bravo, Trainer of Jaguara.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), Stewards charged Jaguara with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Bravo pleaded guilty to the charge.  Jaguara was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Blue Giant was slow to begin.  Houston Bale, Waymore's Blues, Headline and Calla Boom collided approaching the first turn checking Headline.  Houston Bale and Waymore's Blues collided on the first turn and again in the front straight checking Waymore's Blues.  Houston Bale and Calla Boom collided on the second turn checking Waymore's Blues.  Houston Bale checked off Calla Boom on the third turn.  Houston Bale and Headline collided approaching the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Fine Cocoon upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Tron Bradman and Akina Akeira collided soon after the start checking Akina Akeira.  Kraken Nitro checked off Flying Bekim approaching the first turn.  Fine Cocoon, Dewana Babe and Tron Bradman collided on the first turn checking Fine Cocoon.  Kraken Nitro checked off Dewana Babe on the first turn and raced wide as a result.  Fine Cocoon checked off Dewana Babe approaching the second turn and raced wide as a result.  Kraken Nitro checked off Fine Cocoon on the second turn.  Tron Bradman checked off Flying Bekim approaching the third turn.  Fine Cocoon and Kraken Nitro collided approaching the third turn.  Fine Cocoon eased approaching the fourth turn and pulled up on the fourth turn.  Flying Bekim and Dewana Babe collided in the back straight checking Flying Bekim.  Flying Bekim lost ground approaching the home turn.

Flying Bekim was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and right wrist, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Fine Cocoon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and right wrist, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr J. Karamatic, Representative of Fine Cocoon.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), Stewards charged Fine Cocoon with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Karamatic pleaded guilty to the charge.  Fine Cocoon was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Gully Raider was quick to begin.  Unaffordable  was slow to begin.  Zigstar and Zipping Kane collided soon after the start.  One For Me and Catch Fire collided soon after the start checking One For Me.  Zigstar and Zipping Kane collided on the first turn checking Zipping Kane and Jayco Bale, which raced wide as a result.  Jayco Bale and Catch Fire collided on the second turn.  Zipping Kane and Both Sides Now collided on the fourth turn checking Both Sides Now.  One For Me checked off Both Sides Now on the home turn.  Unaffordable raced wide in the home straight.  Jayco Bale and One For Me collided approaching the winning post.

Catch Fire was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr S. White, Trainer of Rare Pearl and reminded him of his responsibilities after he boxed his greyhound before being directed to by the Starter.

Dream Ticket checked off Skate Thin Ice soon after the start.  Skate Thin Ice and Diva's Shadow collided soon after the start.  Igor Karkaroff and Zanpa Bale collided on the first turn.  Skate Thin Ice and Diva's Shadow collided on the first turn checking Dream Ticket and Diva's Shadow.  Rare Pearl and Scenic Shot collided on the second turn.  Diva's Shadow checked off Scenic Shot on the home turn.

Miss Kadia and Pagan Midnight collided soon after the start checking Pagan Midnight.  Who Told Lindylu and Reichenbach collided soon after the start.  Pagan Midnight and Stan's Choice collided soon after the start. Indi Allen, Who Told Lindylu, Miss Kadia and Tear Away Moon collided on the first turn, severely checking Pagan Midnight, Tear Away Moon and Stan's Choice causing Tear Away Moon to stumble and lose considerable ground as a result.  Indi Allen and Miss Kadia collided on the third turn.  Who Told Lindylu checked off Miss Kadia on the home turn.  Stan's Choice and Pagan Midnight collided on the home turn.  Miss Kadia and Liam collided in the home straight.

Tear Away Moon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Proven Scary and Snooky collided soon after the start checking Snooky.  Zipping Simmo and Proven Scary collided approaching the first turn.  Why Not Wayne and Time For Money collided on the first turn.  Allen Oregon and Allen Jersey collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Proven Scary, Allen Oregon and Allen Jersey collided on the second turn, severely checking Proven Scary and Allen Jersey checking Allen Oregon.

Iyliss Bale and Mrs. Huang were quick to begin.  Dream Edition and Blown Away were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Daliya Bale crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Memphis Jookin', severely checking Solo and Iyliss Bale.  Mrs. Huang checked off Daliya Bale on the first turn.  Megan Keeping and Daliya Bale collided on the home turn checking Megan Keeping.
