Stewards spoke to Ms N.Tapp, the representative of Onto Jatt regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Onto Jatt last raced on 26 October, 2015. Ms Tapp stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after spelling.
Queen Elma was quick to begin. Lana Lass and Daintree Alice were slow to begin. Charlie Three and Queen Elma collided approaching the first turn, checking Queen Elma. Charlie Three and Horey's Girl collided on the first turn. Ultimate Paddy and Heineken Girl collided on the first turn, checking Heineken Girl. Heineken Girl, Lana Lass and Queen Elma collided approaching the home turn, checking Daintree Alice, severely checking Heineken Girl and Lana Lass.
