Stewards spoke to B Keel the handler of the greyhound Jonny Quick Step regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Jonny Quick Step with marring. Mr Keel pleaded not guilty to the charge, Jonny Quick Step was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR77A) - Stewards spoke to S Collins, the trainer of Dyna Norfolk regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Dyna Norfolk last raced on 6 July 2015. S Collins stated that the greyhound is resuming racing following an injury to the right hock injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Dyna Norfolk trialled over the 390m from box 1 weight 30.8kgsm, the greyhound was placed 1 in a field of 4.
