Track Curator Mr. B. Groom advised stewards that the track was deeply harrowed on 28th March 2017.

Run Tom Run was slow to begin. Tat Loxy, Who's Irod and Master Brett collided soon after the start. Tat Loxy and Who's Irod collided approaching the first turn checking Who's Irod. Master Brett and Cup Half Full collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Bound Two Affair and Satellite Doll collided on the first turn causing Satellite Doll to fall. Run Tom Run veered out and marred the running on Master Brett on the home turn and entering the home straight checking Master Brett and Cup Half Full as a result.

Satellite Doll was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the mouth. No stand down period was imposed.

Run Tom Run was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hock. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Van taarling, the representive of the greyhound Run Tom Run regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and entering the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Run Tom Run with marring. Mr. Van taarling pleaded guilty to the charge, Run Tom Run was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Missy Marlus.

Harry's Hunni was slow to begin. Shazza's Gift and Charlotte Street collided approaching the first turn. She's Quite, Shazza's Gift, Charlotte Street and Missy Marlus collided approaching the first turn checking Charlotte Street. Shazza's Gift, Missy Marlus, She's Quite and Avatar Lilly collided on the first turn checking Missy Marlus and She's Quite. Shazza's Gift and Avatar Lilly collided approaching the home turn. Charlotte Street and Missy Marlus collided in the home straight. Avatar Lilly and Shazza's Gift collided in the home straight. Avatar Lilly veered out and marred Harry's Hunni in the home straight and again approaching the winning post checking She's Quite.

Shazza's Gift was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey injury and spike wound to the right hind leg. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed. 

Avatar Lilly was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. S. Van taarling, the trainer of Shazza's Gift regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. McDonald, the trainer of the greyhound Avatar Lilly regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight and approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Avatar Lilly with marring. Mr. McDonald pleaded guilty to the charge, Avatar Lilly was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards reminded Mr. Brian Buchanan of his responsibilities after he failed to comply with the GRV dress code whilst handling in this event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Eyles, the trainer of Kraken Dora regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Kraken Dora last raced on 12th October 2016. Mr. Eyles stated that the greyhound was returning from being in season. Mr Eyles declared a new weight of 28.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Kraken Dora last raced at 26.9kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Joycee Rae.

Toby's Taxi and Westmead Maggie were quick to begin. Tat Barbie was slow to begin. Leon's Wish and Joycee Rae collided soon after the start. Kraken Dora and Joycee Rae collided approaching the first turn. Westmead Maggie, Toby's Taxi and Call Me Loulou collided approaching the first turn. Kraken Dora, Joycee Rae and Leon's Wish collided on the first turn checking Leon's Wish and Joycee Rae. Westmead Maggie and Call Me Loulou collided on the home turn. Joycee Rae and Toby's Taxi collided entering the home straight. Toby's Taxi checked off Joycee Rae in the home straight.

Westmead Maggie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind leg. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Tat Ashleigh.

Divino was slow to begin. Face To Face and Claretown Happy collided soon after the start. Tat Ashley and Rival Scar collided approaching the first turn. Jarvis Jet and Gidgee's Boss collided on the first turn. Tat Ashleigh and Rival Scar collided approaching the home turn. Divino, Tat Ashleigh and Rival Scar collided on the home turn checking Tat Ashleigh. Face To Face raced wide in the home straight.

A sample was taken from Claretown Happy, winner of the event.

Sisco Mama was a late scratching at 4:05pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Twist.

Tink Allen was quick to begin. Twist, Waikiki Creek and Laurie Galore collided soon after the start checking Waikiki Creek. Bolare and Twist collided soon after the start. Tricky Tezza was a late scratching at 2:00pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. G. Gledhill was fined the sum of $100.

Morta Bella and Dark Chance collided approaching the first turn checking Morta Bella which contacted the running rail. Brahma's Pride, Cosmic Wish and Kraken mazing collided on the first turn severely checking Cosmic Wish and Kraken Mazing, Kraken Mazing collided with Stylish Chief as a result. Cosmic Wish and Kraken Mazing collided approaching the home turn. Brahma's Pride and Yorgi collided on the home turn.

Morta Bella was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left hind foot. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Brahma's Pride was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind leg. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

A sample was taken from Yorgi, winner of the event.

Stewards amended the starting time of this event to 4:58pm to allow a more appropriate gap in between races to allow for all pre-race preparations.

Swift Knockout was a late scratching at 2:20 on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an injury to a left hind toe joint. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Winlock Wrighty, Lodge's Express, Tat Tubby and Rubba Wilson collided approaching the first turn checking Tat Tubby. Lodge's Express, Winlock Wrighty and Rubba Wilson collided on the first turn checking Lodge's Express. Lodge's Express and Trademark Bliss collided approaching the home turn. Stewards spoke to Ms. F. Hamilton handler, regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound You Will.  Stewards directed that You Will be boxed first in future events.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. P. Boots, the trainer of Atta Flash regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Atta Flash last raced on 22nd December 2016. Mrs. Boots stated that the greyhound was returning from a left shoulder injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Gray, the trainer of Ace Marlow regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Ace Marlow last raced on 5th December 2016. Mr. Gray stated that the greyhound was returning from being spelled.

Ms. K. Smith, trainer of Calabrese Coco declared a new weight of 27.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Calabrese Coco last raced at 29.4kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bomber Marlow.

Ace Marlow and Clovalley Mauri collided soon after the start. Big Bold boomer and Calabrese Coco collided approaching the first turn. Johnny Jaffa, Atta Flash and Ace Marlow collided on the first turn. Big Bold Boomer, Calabrese Coco and Clovalley Mauri collided on the first turn checking Big Bold Boomer. Amlin Mystique was a late scratching at 12:40pm due to injury. (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

My Wrecker and Deadly Pace collided soon after the start. My Wrecker, Deadly Pace, Iron Side, Lunchmoney Lewis and Showtime Chevi collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Iron Side and severely checking Deadly Pace. My Wrecker and Lunchmoney Lewis collided approaching the home turn. Paragon Diamond raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Seth's Way.

Maserati Rev and Old Zebb collided soon after the start checking Old Zebb. Gunmetal Angel and Burst Through collided approaching the first turn. Old Zebb contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground. Gunmetal Angel and Seth's Way collided on the first turn and again on the home turn. Maserati Rev raced wide in the home straight.

Old Zebb was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Mangion, the trainer of the greyhound Old Zebb.  Stewards deemed the performance of Old Zebb unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Old Zebb must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
