Steward's Report

Track Curator Mr. B. Groom advised stewards that the track was deeply harrowed on 28th March 2017.

Run Tom Run was slow to begin. Tat Loxy, Who's Irod and Master Brett collided soon after the start. Tat Loxy and Who's Irod collided approaching the first turn checking Who's Irod. Master Brett and Cup Half Full collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Bound Two Affair and Satellite Doll collided on the first turn causing Satellite Doll to fall. Run Tom Run veered out and marred the running on Master Brett on the home turn and entering the home straight checking Master Brett and Cup Half Full as a result.

Satellite Doll was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the mouth. No stand down period was imposed.

Run Tom Run was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hock. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Van taarling, the representive of the greyhound Run Tom Run regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and entering the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Run Tom Run with marring. Mr. Van taarling pleaded guilty to the charge, Run Tom Run was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
