A pre-race sample was taken from Polijuice Potion upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Quartz Vein was quick to begin. Hukanui was slow to begin.
Brolly Bale and Exs And Ohs collided approaching the first turn. Igor Karkaroff, Paraphernalia and Exs And Ohs collided on the first turn checking Paraphernalia, Exs And Ohs, Brolly Bale. Hukanui and Paraphernalia collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Paraphernalia and Brolly Bale collided entering the front straight. Hukanui checked off Duna Runa approaching the home turn. Hukanui and Duna Runa collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
