Pre-race samples were taken from Warrion Warrior and Annabelle's Boy.
Warrion Warrior, Zipping King and Annabelle's Boy were slow to begin.
Fast Times and Oronsay collided soon after the start. Warrion Warrior checked off Rock Up Top soon after the start. Fast Times, Warrion Warrior and Annabelle's Boy collided on the first turn. Brueghelino and Rock Up Top collided approaching the second turn. Fast Times, Warrion Warrior and Annabelle's Boy collided on the second turn checking Warrion Warrior. Fast Time and Annabelle's Boy collided entering the back straight checking Annabelle's Boy and severely checking Fast Times. Warrion Warrior and Annabelle's Boy collided on the home turn. Bruegelino and Zipping King collided approaching the winning post.
