Team Son and Droppin' Plates collided soon after the start. Team Son checked off Boda Boda soon after the start. Scott Dynamism, Team Son and Troy Boyce collided on the first turn checking Troy Boyce and Fugitive Bale; Troy Boyce and Fugitive Bale raced wide as a result. Greysynd Silk and Invictus Glory collided on the first turn. Fugitive Bale and Invictus Glory collided on the third turn checking Invictus Glory. Greysynd Silk and Troy Boyce collided on the home turn checking Troy Boyce.
Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Schmidt regarding the direction that the greyhound Boda Boda be boxed first. Acting under GAR52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
