Miss Hanna Berry was quick to begin.  Race Roquette and Titanium Boy collided soon after the start checking Race Roquette.  Miss Hanna Berry and Fan The Top collided approaching the first turn checking Fan The Top.  Shadow Diamond and Santana collided approaching the first turn checking Santana.  Bent Nail eased on the first turn checking Rodeo and Race Roquette.  Miss Hanna Berry checking off Shadow Diamond on the first turn.  Shadow Diamond, Rodeo and Bent Nail collided on the home turn.

Bent Nail was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 3, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Labozzetta, the trainer of the greyhound Bent Nail regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), Stewards charged Bent Nail with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Labozzetta failed to enter a plea on behalf of the greyhound. Bent Nail was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards will make inquiries into the reason Mr. Labozetta left the course without having Bent Nail's weight card endorsed at a date to be fixed.

Screaming Oaks and Zinda Neveelk were quick to begin.  Scarlet Evader and Apila Cash were slow to begin.  Sunset Queen, Apila Cash and Reminator collided on the first turn checking Apila Cash.  Scarlet Evader and Reminator collided approaching the home turn checking Reminator.

Westcoast Boy, Chugalug and Sunset Kay were slow to begin.  Aminya Footsteps checked off Elite Eliana on the first turn.  Aminya Footsteps and Day Walker collided on the first turn checking Day Walker and severely checking Aminya Footsteps.  Sunset Kay and Chugalug collided on the first turn checking Sunset Kay.  Westcoast Boy and Day Walker collided approaching the home turn.  Aminya Footsteps checked off Westcoast Boy on the home turn.  Elite Eliana and Pistol collided approaching the winning post.

Chugalug was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to its left hind outside toe.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Bossino and Bulk Cairns were quick to begin.  Maybe Hannibal was slow to begin.  Can't Believe It checked off Runnin' On Fire on the first turn.  Runnin' On Fire checked off Bulk Cairns on the first turn.  Miss Ruby Jean and Can't Believe It collided on the home turn.  Runnin' On Fire and Bossino collided in the home straight.

Isla Rose and Magic Super were quick to begin.  Sunset Believer was slow to begin.  Woodleigh Blaze, Lorna Olive and Gats Prodigy collided approaching the first turn.  Magic Super, Lorna Olive and Kayla Las collided on the first turn checking Magic Super and Lorna Olive.  Magic Super checked off Kayla Las on the first turn.  Don't Trust and Kayla Las collided approaching the home turn checking Don't Trust.

Phil Miyoot and Blue Not Black were slow to begin.  Black Selandra and Aston Tulloch collided soon after the start.  Phil Miyoot and Blue Not Black collided approaching the first turn.  Gotta Permit faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off.  Blue Not Black galloped on the heels of Lloyd Street on the first turn.  Blue Not Black and Lloyd Street collided approaching the home turn.  Black Selandra raced wide in the home straight.

Gotta Permit was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left back muscle.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Cooler Colour, Never Satisfied, Rusty Mia and Just Like Jim collided approaching the first turn.  Harvey Leigh and Rusty Mia collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Haigh regarding the direction that the greyhound Cooler Colour be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Jupiter Jones, Tricky Trey and Angel Ice were quick to begin.  Aztec Flash and Dromore's Opal were slow to begin.  Tricky Trey and Angel Ice collided soon after the start.  Dromore's Opal and Vienna Pink collided soon after the start.  Jupiter Jones and Tricky Trey collided on the first turn.  Aztec Flash and Vienna Pink collided on the first turn.  Vienna Pink raced wide in the home straight.

Dromore's Opal was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Azzopardi, the trainer of Burst Of Magic regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Burst Of Magic last raced on 26th September 2016 and is returning to race after a lower neck injury and a seasonal spell. 

Mr. I. Collins, trainer of Pie Problem declared a new weight of 30.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Pie Problem last raced at 31.6kgs.

Dane Daisy and Pie Problem collided soon after the start.  Zafonic Express and Burst Of Magic collided soon after the start.  Sultan's Boy, Ima Terror and Burst Of Magic collided on the first turn checking Ima Terror and Sultan's Boy.  Hurricane Craig and Zafonic Express collided approaching the home turn checking Zafonic Express.  Pie Problem and Zafonic Express collided in the home straight.

Pristina Lad and Aladdin Prince were quick to begin.  Kisseemee was slow to begin.  Belron Brum and Ding Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Bangor Dorrie checked off Belron Brum on the first turn checking Ding Bale.  Belron Brum and Aladdin Prince collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Lightning Lil raced wide on the home turn.  Lightning Lil and Kisseemee collided in the home straight.

Prior to kennelling Stewards were approached by Mr. L. Mitchell, the representative of the greyhound Murrabit Betty who informed Stewards he had presented the incorrect greyhound for this event.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. K. Mitchell via phone who stated he had inadvertently sent the incorrect greyhound with Mr. L. Mitchell to today's meeting.  Stewards charged Mr. K. Mitchell with a breach of rule GAR 86(o) in that he did fail to ensure the correct greyhound was presented for this event, which in the opinion of Stewards was negligent.  Mr. K. Mitchell pleaded guilty to the charge.  Mr. K. Mitchell was found guilty and fined the sum of $250.

Hello Slick went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Proviso, Neon Moon, Buckle Up Jem, Mini Tron and Saloon Princess collided soon after the start.  Neon Moon and Proviso collided on the first turn checking Max Roxy and Proviso.  Max Roxy and Buckle Up Jem raced wide in the home straight.
