This event was rescheduled to start at 12:43pm due to an issue with the lure cable prior to the first event..
Dyna Jackie was quick to begin. On The Trail and Speedy Ryder were slow to begin. Diama Bale and Allen Gerwen collided soon after the start checking Diama Bale. Allen Gerwen and Pretty Ribbons collided approaching the first turn. Coo Coo Coconuts, Louis Mini Girl, Pretty Ribbons and Allen Gerwen collided on the first turn checking Louis Mini Girl and Speedy Ryder. Coo Coo Coconuts and Pretty Ribbons collided on the first turn checking Pretty Ribbons and Speedy Ryder. Louis Mini Girl and Speedy Ryder collided on the second turn checking Speedy Ryder. Speedy Ryder checked off Coo Coo Coconuts on the home turn.
Allen Gerwen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained superficial abrasions to its lateral wrist and injuries to its left monkey muscle and left shoulder. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Speedy Ryder was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left calf muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards directed that a sample be taken from the greyhound.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Warburton, the trainer of the greyhound Speedy Ryder. Stewards deemed the performance of Speedy Ryder unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Speedy Ryder must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
