Daintree Alice was slow to begin.
Runaway Shaye, Jellybean Jess, Tophat And Tails, Elite Swift and Ready Jet Go collided soon after the start, checking Runaway Shaye, Elite Swift and Jellybean Jess. Tophat And Tails checked off Daintree Alice on the first turn. Ready Jet Go crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Daintree Alice which stumbled. Watch This Space raced wide on the home turn.
Daintree Alice was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left foreleg. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
