Merry Magic crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking Eat My Shorts, Mudslinger, Blitzen Bell and Delcorn Potts. Delcorn Potts faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off as a result. Kraken Mazing and Shakin' Leo collided on the first turn, checking Shakin' Leo. Shakin' Leo contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Eat My Shorts galloped on Shakin' Leo approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.
Delcorn Potts was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained sprains to both wrists. A 21-day stand down period was imposed.
