Chugalug was slow to begin. Galantis and Acola Sweetie collided soon after the start.Dynastic Ruler and Mt. View Gift collided approaching the first turn checking Mt. View Gift. Acola Sweetie checked off Marvelette approaching the first turn. Chugalug contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. Dynastic Ruler, Marvellette and Galantis collided on the first turn. Acola Sweetie and Mt. View Gift collided on the first turn severely checking Mt. View Gift. Acola Sweetie and Marvelette collided on the home turn. Proven Ryker raced wide in the home straight.Dynastic Ruler eased and collided with Acola Sweetie approaching the winning post.
Chugalug was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound showed signs of mild thumps. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Brown, the trainer of the greyhound Dynastic Ruler regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Dynastic Ruler was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and the left wrist, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dynastic Ruler with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Brown pleaded guilty to the charge, Dynastic Ruler was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
