When And Where was slow to begin.  Brock The Beast, My Girl Lois, Steel and Braesen Dollar collided soon after the start.  When And Where and Aminya Shadow collided on the first turn.  Braesen Dollar and Steel collided on the first turn.   Braesen Dollar contacted the running rail on the first turn, faltered and fell checking My Girl Lois.  Korcheck and When And Where collided approaching the home turn.  Aminya Shadow raced wide approaching the home turn.  Brock The Beast brushed the running rail in the home straight and collided with When And Where.

Braesen Dollar was vetted following the event.  It ws reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left ulna, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. W. Fasoli the representative of About To Cry regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  About To Cry last raced on 17/11/16.  Mrs. Fasoli stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a broken hind toe.

Dr. Peregrine was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Galloping Fantom was quick to begin.  Dr. Oliver was slow to begin.  All About Corey and My Mate Horse collided soon after the start checking My Mate Horse.  Share and In the Trolley collided soon after the start.  Ed's Intention, Big Hook and Share collided soon after the start.  All About Corey, Galloping Fantom and In The Trolley collided on the first turn checking Galloping Fantom, Share and Dr. Oliver.  All About Corey and In The Trolley collided approaching the second turn.  My Mate Horse and Ed's Intention collided on the second turn checking Ed's Intention.  Big Hook was checked off In The Trolley in the back straight.  Ed's Intention was checked off Share approaching the third turn.  All About Corey and My Mate Horse collided approaching the winning post.

My Mate Horse was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Hall the trainer of My Mate Horse regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  After viewing the head on video footage Stewards took no further action.

Acting on a confirmed phone call from trainer Mr. R. Eades, My Lady Limonite was a late scratching at 5.00pm due to an elevated temperature.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards declared this event a no race pursuant to GAR 57(1) after Dr. Yuki iniitally turned in the boxes then joined the race on the home turn severely interferring with the leading greyhound Megellas Fairy.

Dr. Yuki was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards established that Dr. Yuki turned in the boxes.  Acting under GAR 52(1) Dr. Yuki was placed on a satisfactory trial all tracks.

Following viewing the official race footage Stewards acting under GAR 57(2)(a) declared Megellas Fairy and Aston Powers were exempt from the ballot for the final, both runners will compete in the final to be run on Saturday 11/03/17. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Minnie the representative of Bring Sexy Back regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Bring Sexy Back last raced on 26/11/16.  Mr. Minnie stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.

Burekup Jack was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
