A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Bronco.
Kalgoorlie Kid was very slow to begin (4L). Allen Sharpie, Zambora Caitlyn and Meehan Sox collided soon after the start, checking Zambora Caitlyn and Meehan Barney, and severely checking Meehan Sox which stumbled. Allen Sharpie and Bonna Bale collided approaching the first turn. Allen Sharpie and Paula Bale collided on the first turn. Zambora Caitlyn and Meehan Barney collided on the first turn, checking Zambora Caitlyn. Zambora Caitlyn and Kalgoorlie Kid collided approaching the home turn. Allen Sharpie and Zipping Bronco collided on the home turn. Kalgoorlie Kid and Zipping Bronco both raced wide approaching the winning post.
Meehan Sox was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
